About
Atiba de Souza
He builds the thing in the room with you.
Atiba runs build labs for business owners. Five cohorts have now been through one, and every attendee has been a business owner rather than a developer. The format is the same each time: you arrive with a real business and a real constraint, and you leave with something running that was not running when you walked in.
Organizational Independence is his framework — building a company that can think without you. He taught it in full for the first time from the Chimera Collective’s stage in Singapore in September 2026, and has run it as a workshop since. The whole thing is on this site, free.
He teaches across South-East Asia — Singapore, the Philippines and online — and runs the four-day lab in Las Vegas. He is also a regular podcast guest on AI and how owners should actually use it.
What he argues, in one paragraph
Most AI attempts in a business do not fail on the AI. They fail because the wrong job got handed over. Every position holds three roles — deciding what to do, doing it, and judging whether it worked — and an owner who has never separated them has been quietly filling the empty ones for years. AI fills one role at a time, well. Name the roles first and the build makes sense; hand AI a whole position and it does not.
And whatever gets built has to move revenue or profit, measurably, while still doing the work your way. Both halves. We don’t build because it’s cool. We build to increase the bottom line.
